I stopped taking pictures because I realized that I kind of lost myself within them. You take all these pictures- you fumble with the dials to ensure that you have just the right exposure, and within the action you stop exposing yourself to life. Life becomes a continuous point and shoot, and who you are gets lost because all you do is look at images. Never once do you stop to look at yourself. And to maintain who you are, you have to look at yourself- not just a quick glance, but you really need to look. And you need to see.

Life is not life if all you ever do is look through a camera lens.
